Short Hills, NJ, is an unincorporated township within the borders of Millburn Township, with a population of approximately 13,200 residents (as of 2010), having a convenient prime Northern New Jersey location less than 25 miles from New York City. This Essex County township has some very well-rated schools (the students are served by the Millburn Public School District) plus two private schools, and is located conveniently near routes 24 and interstate highway 78.
Short Hills real estate tends to range almost entirely within the high-end range of the market, with many distinctive luxury estates adorning the neighborhood. While the whole real estate industry has been affected to some extent by the COVID-19 pandemic during this year (2020), this has not had any impact on selling and buying homes in Short Hills due to the relative economic prosperity of this part of the Essex County. For example, we are currently listing several showcase luxury home estates available for sale in this town and nearby towns also.
Short Hills is generally viewed as a very well matured real estate market with not that much land left to build on, so whenever a new home is built there, it is always a notable event. This holds especially true given how many premier properties and high-end homes are located here, and thus all new construction in this town tends to be aimed at the luxury home market. Naturally, Tom Mayer's specialty is selling homes in the luxury home category, and in fact there is a brand new construction home available in Short Hills right now, please take a look and let me know if you would like to schedule a hard-hat tour at a time of your choice!

Northern New Jersey, generally thought to consist of the counties of Bergen, Essex, Morris, Somerset, Warren, Passaic, Union, Hudson, and Sussex, is an enticing and enchanting place to buy a home. Luxury home buyers will find fine, high end homes in each of these counties. Prices tend to be highest closer to Manhattan, but there is a significant luxury home market halfway across northern New Jersey as well - in Morris, Essex, and Somerset counties where there is still room for new construction as well as brisk economic activity to drive continuing growth and development.
